Hi,

I'm really tired after writing all this so I'm putting my question up first cause i need an answer and then you guys can read all the interesting things I've written up for you this morning. :smokingsomb:

CAN I USE MOBILE ODIN TO FLASH ANY OF THE AUTOROOT METHODS???

If you read below you'd find that i have a laptop with Kali Linux and another computer with no charger. I desperately need an Autoroot method that does not require a Windows PC.....

Oh and by the way....
my friend pays for 4G and he sais he drops 4G a lot. More than he feels like he should. Shouldn't using ODIN to flash that T-Mobile 4G LTE version "March 2014 - 4.3 JellyBean - New! T999LUVUBNC1 help me fix that problem since he is running the following which is about a year newer?

That's what is on there currently.

April 2013 - 4.1.2 JellyBean
Note: This is based off of the stock image TMO T999UVDMD5

So i'm rooting a Galaxy S3 T-Mobile SGH-T999 for a friend. He said his camera doesn't work and he loses 4G blahblah.

During my trek in to the INTERNET i found these interesting articles:

  • This one is my favorites. Several different STOCK LTE and NON LTE images. Let me know ya'lls opinion... or if you know of another similar to it :D

  • A Thing Called Skipsoft Android Toolkit supposedly dies lots of things for lots of phones. I've never used it. Whats ya'lls take on it? Any good?

THIS HERE STARTED AROUND LIKE 1AM

I just reached the moment that i realized I've been up all night because my friend asked me to "Root" and "ROM" his phone and he has a laptop that doesn't have a charger, i brought my laptop, That has Kali installed on it (Meaning no Odin, no Windows, No EASY way to do this) and i wanted to make sure i did the research so i don't mess up his laptop or charger because of this. Once i researched the following i was like, wow. WTH:

1.) Lower voltage adapter than device rating
Higher current adapter than device rating
2.) Making sure the amperage is equal or greater than the device is.
3.) And then the real trick was to find a picture that I could find through Google of the dang charger my friend don't have so that i can read the input, output, polarity, etc !!! Had to be High Quality enough for me to zoom in for that.

First time i messed with this type of thing and now i've wasted a whole nights sleep over it and i have a very busy day today. I love it when a problem gets in your head and you can't stop until its fixed. I know i'm going to fall asleep in front of everyone who tries to talk to me, for sure. I just really hope i am not too tired to stay away for my first attempt at my A+ :(

Just FYI, E-Bay is better for high-res, zoomable, images btw. . theres even a focus button. Dude you can focus inwards sooo much i can see the nanotechnology in it. Google, man. They are the next frickin' CyberNet from that move The Terminator, i swear.

Thanks for listening to my pointless story. :D

P.S.
Maybe i could have found the answer but when you are focused in the completely wrong direction you might run in to yourself before you realize whats going on.
