T Mobile My Account

It isn't working for me. Just happened today. Anyone else with this issue? Is there anything I can do?? :(

Hi smsungal. Are you referring to your provider's account not allowing network access, or do you mean the "My Account" app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tmobile.selfhelp&hl=en)?

If it's the app, try going into the Application Manager on your device and clear cache and data then reboot your phone. Once booted back up, go into the My Account app and reconfigure and try again.

It's working on my Samsung Galaxy S2 with Jellybean. I did the latest update. Also I recall having issues trying to use it over wi-fi, it couldn't recognize my device but when I switched to mobile data it worked fine.

The app is very erratic. I wouldn't rely on it too much. I use it too but whenever I open the app, it will still show info from 2 weeks ago or last month. I have to refresh it alot.

Thanks everyone. It is working fine now. I did do an update, so that was the problem. But why would it fail to work when it needs an update? Wouldn't they notify you? I don't understand.

Well, that was why they updated it because it didn't work properly. The update did improve the app. It was terrible before. Read the reviews. I like TMobile's service alot but that app was a headache. Hopefully, this update and future updates make it a more consistent app. They even have another similar app that caused confusion.

There is actually a bug in the My Account app. If you are on a plan that does not have unlimited minutes (e.g. the $30/month prepaid plans), the app erroneously displays the number of minutes used as the same number of messages. If you used 50 out of 100 minutes already during the current cycle, the app correctly displays 50/100 under Minutes, but also erroneously displays 50/Unl under Messages.

This was reported to them two releases ago and they haven't fixed it.

The original T-Mobile MyAccount (no space) app does not have this bug and works perfectly.
