Root [T-Mobile] Noob wants to root

So id like to root my phone. Ive just downloaded offical jellybean on s3 orange uk.

The following guide makes it sound so easy. Is it really as simple as this?

Ok guys so ive successfully rooted it. How do i go about firstly changing the status bar?

Yeesh- you mean changing color/icons/etc.? I don't think you can do that on a stock ROM. I don't have experience on the S3 doing this, but on my Motorola, I needed to have a deodexed ROM to modify the system files necessary to change things like the notification bar. Maybe someone else with more S3 experience can weigh in...

It has the galaxy nexus 'tv off' animation. Im so happy! I love android haha!
