t-mobile S3 with metro sim?

I was told several times that I could use a T-Mobile phone with me metro pcs sim card. I bought a S3 for T-Mobile but it didn't work... I even paid to get it unlocked.... can someone please help me out. thank you

Can you clarify what exactly does not work? It should work with the new gsm network.

it just says "Searching" when you pull down the top... and when I dial 611 or anything else a window pops up "Mobile network Not available"

To the best of my knowledge T-mobile phones work with all its mvno's ( Simple Mobile, GoSmart, MetroPCS etc) without even having to unlock them, just needing to put the correct apns for mms/data. Have you tried looking at the Network settings ? I wonder if it could also be a coverage issue since it keeps searching. It could be a couple different possibilities. If you are able to contact from another phone I'm sure they would be willing to try to figure out the problem.
