t-mobile "sign into network" prompt

Anyone using t-Mobile ever have this issue?

- I was in a usually strong signal area and the first image below was in my notifications.
- I opened the notifications panel and saw "Sign into network"
- When I clicked it, it opened my default browser and went to that URL. Which as you can see was fully loaded but the page was blank.

At no point did it appear I was out of coverage. (Galaxy Nexus running stock 4.3 using t-mobile prepay - if any of that matters.)

Yep, it used to happen to me from time to time. It didn't actually affect anything though, and going to that page took care of the annoying notification. But I haven't seen it in a couple of months, so my guess is eventually it will go away for you as well.

I've had it about three times in the last 6-9 months. No real pattern or reason that I can decipher.

I got this prompt today. I have no idea what it's about. I was in a really bad area so the link wouldn't work for me.

I'm on prepaid and I see that when I need to add more money. But, that is the only time I see that.

I see that on my wife stock phone bc she has no data plan. It is annoying. I wish I can turn it off.

Chong, It might go away if you turn off mobile data.

I think it is triggered when the device attempts to access cellular data and the carrier rejects it with no current plan. Turning off cell data would stop the message, in your case, I'd imagine.
