T-Mobile UK Network problems...

riley

Newbie
Ok, just got my G1 on a completely new line/number.

First thing I always do with a new line is ring 150 and disable voicemail, did that and no problems. Then tested and it was disabled.

Then I started getting text messages from Tmobile saying I had missed calls from this given number. I know at that time I had signal, however when I looked there was no sign of a missed called in my G1 call log.

So at this point I gave the number (of the so missed call) a ring and they said they had not called me...

Then I received a voicemail....I listened to it and it was clearly not meant for me, again this voicemail was left at a time I most certainly had signal and no sign of a missed call in the G1 log. Oh and don't forget, my voicemail is disabled!!

Ok so i seem to be getting missed call texts and voicemails which are not ment for my number? Just rang 150 and all they could do was refresh my phone on the network (got some random network messages on my phone so I guess they reactivated my phone on the network?)

Anyway, anyone heard or had similar problems? Any tmobile staff round here who could ask around at work about an issue like this?

Sorry for the long post!

Thanks,
Tom.

Dont know whether it has any bearing on your problem, but I've had an iffy signal all day (North East England)

Quite a few times I've had the "no service" message

I'm sure something similar to this has been mentioned on here before. I think at the time it was US users who were reporting weird voicemail issues but I can't be sure on that. Definitely sure it's been written on here before though or at least something simillar

Hey thanks all for the responses, just had a post to this same question on another forum which seems to explain it, quoted below:

We had this on our vodafone contract at work, its as simple as the devices ID's getting muddled across different networks, a simple refresh from that device normally solves the problem so if they have done this you shouldnt get the problem anymore.

Working ok for me Jabtas. I normally have Wifi on indoors but just switched it off and used 3G instead.

Tried a few UK based addresses of people I know via the search and it brought them up including the maps.

Anything else you want me to try?
