oh god, i work with about 100 feild technitians who are on a sprint network..nothing but dropped calls and phones that randomly turn off on their own. sprint and its hardware is horrible and would not help tmobile if they purchased them

-as far as we know, sprint is still number 3 so it'd be sprint purchasing tmobile.
-your technicians must be in one of many not covered or barely covered areas in sprint's network.
-also, your technicians are probably using nextel phones

Sprint is #3 but T-mo has Deutsch telecom behind them while Sprint is hemorrhaging money!

I guess this would make sense for t-mo since Sprint and T-mo are both pretty much "urban" carriers, wi-max would have coverage where t-mo needs it and would give them a "cheap" (as in no need to build out) upgrade path. It will mean more segregation in phone manufacturing though...sprint cdma/wimax handsets, tmo gsm/wimax, vzw cdma/lte, att gsm/lte. the next few years are gonna be ugly

Tmobile may be 4th in the States but worldwide they could buy Sprint 3 times over.

Care to enlighten us? If I'm wrong on the phone thing I'd be interested to see other thoughts on the matter....If its about Sprint, well I don't really follow them real close anymore, was really wishing at one point them and Alltel would get together to take on big red but my dreams of that have obviously been dashed.
