T-Mobile won't allow me to make a payment without speaking to a specialist

For the past 3 days, I've been trying to refill my account. I've tried on the website like I do every month, but it always tells me that the transaction is not authorized.

So I called them yesterday and they said they can't process my payment and they need to transfer me to a refill specialist. So they transfer me to a voice mailbox.

Today I tried again, and they said that my payment must be handled by a refill specialist. When I asked them why, they said they can't tell me, so they transferred me again and again I got a voice mailbox.

Apparently whatever department they keep transferring me to is closed so I need to call back during normal business hours tomorrow.

I'm very anxious to know what is going on and why my refill needs to be handled by a "specialist".

Has this happened to anyone else? I can't imagine what the reason is.

Have you been using refill cards from eBay? Some of those are purchased with stolen credit cards.

Another possible route is chat support with t-mobile on the website maybe.

This is, honestly, the only type of interaction I have with t-mobile

This happened to me when I was on cricket. Exact thing, and when they transferred me I got an automated system with a couple options to choose, none of which had anything to do with paying phone bills... or cricket at all for that matter.

It turned out in the end it was an issue with my bank. Chase Bank. These idiots even called me once at like 2 in the morning after I went to 7-11 to ask me if the $2 charge was authorized.
