T301 vs Google Nexus 7

Has anyone who has a T301 also purchased/used a Google Nexus 7 tablet. How much faster is the Google tablet? Is it so much easier to download and install apps? Conversely if just using to surf the web, facebook, and email, is it that much different? Thanks.

I have a T301 & have bought my son the Nexus 7. It is night & day differences. The T301 is a 2+ year old tablet with 256MB RAM, an offbrand single-core processor that restricts the apps that it can load & is barely better than an ereader. The Nexus 7 is as fast as any of the bigger named devices (it's made by Asus, the guys that make the Transformer) in a 7 inch screen. And that screen is much nicer resolution than the T301.

The 2 tablets are about as far apart as we can get right now on performance. But you get what you pay for. $200 is a deal for the Nexus 7. I would consider paying $50 to be too much for what I can & can't do on my T301.
