Help Tab 10.1 will not power up

Afternoon all, i'm posting here in a last attempt to fix this before it is sent back to the seller.

I received my GT 10.1 about 3 hours ago, at that point it booted up fine, showed about 70% charge on it, i had a quick (2 mins) swipe about to make sure all was well. locked it, unlocked to check the storage (was worried i'd been sent a 16gig) and locked it again.
fast forward 10 mins, I get to work, try to unlock it and nothing. Blank screen.

So far i've tried...
Holding down the power button for 10, 15, 30 and 60 seconds
The power for 15, then 7 seconds
One finger on screen whilst holding power
Holding down the power and volume down button, nothing.
Holding down the power and volume up buttons, nothing again.
If plugged into a windows system if I hold the power and volume up then windows starts to detect something, it makes the usual noise but there is nothing shown on the tablet screen.

Is it safe to assume that for some unknown reason the screen has stopped working?

Any thoughts or advice would be really appreciated as I just want to enjoy my new tablet.

Thats really unusual, usually holding the power down fixes this problem for most 10.1 users. I might suggest sending it back, but someone here may have another suggestion? Good luck!
