Help Tablet firmware on phone

Hi everyone im new to the forum and also to android.So i purchased a nice brick on kijiji someone sold me a blacklisted phone!!! So learning my lesson and wanting to bite the bullet i was wonrdering if i can reinstall tablet firmware on it and completely eliminate it from being a phone ? I needed something to watch when bored in my hunting cabin lol

That's not how that works at all...
If you try to flash firmware for any device other than your own you could very well render it completely useless, worse off than it being blacklisted
If all you need is a media player what's stopping you? put whatever media you want on it and go nuts...

A blacklisted smart-phone, will no longer function as a phone anyway. But can still use it as a smart media, entertainment, productivity and WiFi internet device, just like you can with a WiFi only tablet.
