Help Tablet to TV via HDMI - How do I get rid of the black border line trim?

Hello. I have a Samsung Tab A 10.1" Tablet and I want to get rid of the boarder trim on the TV Screen. How do I go about doing that? Tablet display resolution is 1920 x 1200. TV display resolution is 1920 x 1080. Thanks.

Thanks for your replies. I very much appreciate it.

I apologise and I have to confess something to you now. I asked the community question when I had the incorrect HDMI cable for the device. :)

The picture does displays boarders on the sides, but its via wifi connectivity through a media player.

I have an Acer tablet which does the same thing via Wi-Fi and via the HDMI. So I'd assume it'll do the same nonsense with the Samsung when I received the right hdmi for the Samsung. But its still was the wrong size Micro USB.

I asked the community ahead of delivery, because I was convinced the hdmi cable would not resolve the issue and wanted a backup workaround from the members here.

Bg260 Nothing can be done from the TV side. I mean I can adjust picture settings for the Acer, but that doesn't resolve the issue. The Acer is 1280x720. Same thing with the Samsung (1080p) via Wi-Fi connectivity through a media player...doesn't resolve the issue though. It's just fixed, zoomed in and out.

I'm due to receive an HDMI adapter for the Samsung in the next few days and if the issue reoccurs, there' s probably nothing I could do anyway. If anyone has the same issue, then please feel free to hijack the thread.

It's just a matter of comparing simple numbers, if you don't want any black bars to fill in what's being shown your options are to either scale the image up to fill the different ratio of your TV screen (letterbox vs full screen - which will involve cropping on the left and right sides) or to have the image distorted (height and width altered differently).
