Tablet under 250

Looking for a good tablet for 250 or under for my pop for Christmas. Non pandigitals or any of the cheap house brands please. :)

Sorry, looking for full functionality here. Galaxy tab, iconia, htc flyer are the kinds I'm hoping for. Just need wifi and don't need a whole lot of space.

I think the 8 GB is for that price. Personally I'd get the Nook Color 2 or Tablet (16GB of storage) and root it.

I saw on Best Buy's website that they had the Acer Iconia A100 7" screen for $249 earlier today.

I would go with this if you wanted something android and under $250. I was looking for another tab as well for my husband I saw a refurb a500 16gb on best buy for $299 but decided to go with amazon and get a new a500 32gb for $344 and no tax or shipping.

If you're interested in the 7" variety, keep an eye out online for sales on the HTC EVO View 4G. I picked one up brand new, no contract required for $230 a couple weeks ago. It seems that new sales keep popping up every few days in the $230-$250 price range. For the price, it's tough to beat considering it has full Android Market/Google Apps support, cellular connectivity on Sprint (3G/WiMAX) if you want it (I just use mine on WiFi), and 32gb of on board storage (and a microSD slot). And the HTC Scribe stylus really sets it apart if that functionality is something that appeals to you. Plus, it received an update to Honeycomb today.

That's exactly what I'd like to get my pop. It'd be perfect for him.

Ideally, this is a Christmas present, so I'm trying to get it here some-what quick and unfortunately, the iconias are all gone in my area in store and online they have no shipping availability timetable. The Flyer/Evo View though is really the way I'd like to go.

Don't know if you have a Walmart by you but they have the iconia a100 for the same price if best buy is out of stock.

$239 shipped for a brand new, contract-free EVO View 4G is back on via eBay:
