I recently did a hard reset of my tablet. Now the stock music app and all music apps that seem to use it will no longer read my music. Music apps that read the file structure like Mort Player work fine, so I know the music is not corrupt. Is there some setting I need to work on so that the tablet will read the music directory off of my SD card? Any help would be appreciated.

There is an app called SDrescan that might help. I'd try that first
Also, make sure there are no files named ".nomedia" in any of the folders the music is in.
You could also try copying all music to your computer and deleting it from the phone. Then unplug the USB from the computer and let it scan the SD card for awhile. this is important, because you basically want it to scan empty so it clears up the internal database for the music. (This could take awhile)
Finally, reconnect to pc/mac, re-add the music to phone, and let it re-scan the files. (This could take awhile)
