Tank Hero: Laser Wars

I'm pleased to announce that Clapfoot Inc. is working on their next title Tank Hero: Laser Wars. If you haven’t played the original Tank Hero, it’s a fast paced combat/puzzle game where you battle through various arenas in a tank. For those of you that have played Tank Hero, you'll be pleased to know that Laser Wars will have full blown peer to peer multiplayer over bluetooth (no LAN or internet required). Furthermore, split screen multiplayer mode will be available for tablet devices.

We also worked very hard over the last two months to overhaul the graphics engine. We hope you will be pleased with the results. Check out the screenshots below.

Clapfoot Inc. began as one of the few game developers exclusive to Android. We have since branched out to other platforms, but we would like to thank the Android community for all their support because if it wasn't for you guys we wouldn't be where we are today.

Bluetooth multiplayer sounds awesome! One question, will bluetooth multiplayer be capable of cross platform playing? Meaning an Android phone can link with an iPhone to play multiplayer? I saw that you have the multiplayer beta as a tentative release in Nov for Android, but I'm curious if you plan to expand this to play against the iOS.

But I look forward to this new version of Tank Hero. I loved the original :)
 
Will there be an add free version you can purchase on the market? I would love to support you guys even more; I dislike purchasing anything outside of either the Android Market or the Amazon Appstore though (IE in-app purchases).

Unfortunately there will be no cross platform play between Android and iPhone because the iOS bluetooth functionality is closed and won't place nice with Android.

We don't have plans for an open beta on iOS now but this may change as we get closer to release. Stay tuned for updates.

We're still debating whether or not to release a stand alone ad-free version. We definitely understand your concerns over in-app purchases.
 
Plz don't have it just on Amazon app store as that's unfair too your non US fans as we can't use Amazon app store and plz a stand alone version

Really? /sigh yet another reason why iPhones are just too locked up for their own good.
