Task Killer deleting operating system?

My friend has the droid eris and he says that his task killer keeps killing his operating system so he has to get his phone replaced. I want an android phone but if that is going to be a problem ill have to pass. is there any way to fix this?

Yes. Don't install a task killer.

Your friend doesn't really know what he's talking about. Firstly, there's no way to 'kill' an operating system. Secondly, if it's his task killer, why doesn't he just uninstall it? Thirdly, why is he getting his phone replaced exactly? It's a software issue, nothing wrong with the phone itself

He's confused, as I'm sure he means his UI. Your friend needs to include "HTC Sense" in his Task Killer's ignore list. Should fix the problem, definitely not a phone issue.
