Task Manager Battery Hog

I have a Samsung Rugby Pro on AT&T, software version 4.1.2.

I have had issues lately with battery life. I used to get 2 days of use, now I am only getting 1.2-1.3 days. The largest battery use is the Task Manager that is built in (i haven't downloaded or installed a task manager).

I would post a pic, but since i'm new it wont let me.

After 12 hours of use, % battery used:
Task Manager - 28%
Voice Calls - 19%
Android OS - 16%
Device Idle - 8%
Cell Standby - 7%
Android System - 5%
Facebook - 3%
Clock - 2%
Phone - 2%

Anyone else run into this problem? Why is the task manager using so much battery?

The device has its own task manager built in... Did you but chance add the ram cleaning widget or are you switching through apps a lot when holding down the button? If the answer to both of those is no, disable it in Manage Apps, because that's just insane right there.

It can not be disabled. It is either the one that is build in to the phone or the one that ATT puts on the phone.

I ended up calling Samsung and they had me clear the cache. That took care of the problem. There must have been a program that was hanging up or something that was requiring the task manager to constantly be working.
