Help Task manager for Android?

Is there an equivalent of the Windows 8.1 task manager for Android? I want to see what apps have or have not shut down properly, which processes are running, etc. If so, where is it? Or do I need an app?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S (tablet, of course) and a Samsung Galaxy S4 phone.

Thanks... I'll give that System Panel app a try. I looked at Settings > Apps but there is no "Running".

There is on my S4. At the top of the Application Manager screen you normally see downloaded apps. If you swipe to the left it will display SD card and Running
