The purpose of this experiment was to provide proof for the task manager and autokill debate that so many people are blindly argueing over with no provided proof. So with that said below is the results of my experiment which I attempted to conduct as accuratly as I could. This experiment was conducted on a HTC Incredible so YMMV if you wish to conduct the same experiment.
First I will list the settings used during this experiment:
Wifi: Off
Bluetooth: Off
GPS: Off
3G Mobile Data: On (always on mobile connection: Checked)
Background data: Checked
Auto-sync: Checked
Backup Assistant: Off
Facebook sync: On (Frequency: Every 2 hours)
Google sync: On (Push Gmail: checked)
Weather sync: On (Frequency: Every 3 hours)
Screen Brightness: Manual (Slider is approximatly all the way to the left showing 2mm of green bar)
Screen Timeout: 1 Minute

Task Manager used in Experiment: "Task Manager" by Rhythm Software
Now below is how I conducted the experiment:
[1] Both experiments were conducted over a 13 hour period while the phone was unplugged
[2] Both experiments were conducted using the extended 1750mAh battery after approximatly 2 weeks of "breaking in the battery"
[3] Both experiments were conducted with virtually no usage of the phone (Yes, this part was hard to do,
)
[4] During both experiments no incoming or outgoing phone calls were made/recieved
[5] SMS messages and E-Mails were recieved during both experiments but none were sent (Further detail in experiment)
[6] During both experiments exactly 90 Minutes of mp3's were played using the Music app (had to have something to do on the train ride to work; accuracy timed using stopwatch)
[7] Phones display was turned on and off approximatly every hour
[8] Experiment 1 was conducted with Task Managers "auto-kill" turned OFF
[9] Experiment 2 was conducted with Task Managers "auto-kill" turned ON
[10] Experiments started after a full overnight charge of 8 hours, were then removed from the charger and phone turned off and back on thus beginning the experiment.
