Help Taskbar star icon (user manual)

Is there a growing user manual that contains up to date info about the android systems?

Specifically I see a new icon, a star, in my top right taskbar that I don't remember seeing before. When I did a search, I found a 4 year old link to an Android programmers guide? http://androidforums.com/threads/what-tf-does-this-taskbar-icon-mean.76963/ , and a few questions about specific icons. But what I'd like is a link to an evolving set of pages that would contain more recent info.

So: What is the star, and what should I do adorable it it.

And: can I be pointed to a page that links to recent voluminous info?

If you are referring to a white star in the right section of the notification bar and you are running Lollipop, that is an indication that you have "priority interrupts" enabled.
Goto: Settings > Sound & notification > Interruptions to see available setting options
