Tasker for cutting off my mobile addiction

I want some tasker tasks to cut off my addictions.

First thing I thought about is a tasker which will shut down my phone if I am using an addictive app (e.g. Facebook) for more than 2 minutes.

I tried but my task didn't work. Any solution?

Also, are there any other taskers for the similar purpose of cutting off addition?

First things first: are you talking about the app named Tasker? If not, please let us know what you are using.

Also, tell us what you've tried and how it didn't work. (Like nothing happened, or it did do what you wanted but not at the right time, etc.)

Well, once we know for sure what you're currently using, we may be able to recommend something else--or show you how to do your desired tasks.

@MoodyBlues Yes that Tasker app is what I am talking about. What I tried is something roundabout way. But even this roundabout way didn't work.

Trigger = Time "Every 2m"
Task = Kill app

But I want to shut down the phone, not just kill the app. Also I want a trigger that is activated when I use this app for more than 1 or 2 minutes, but just "every 2m"

Okay, that helps a lot!

I just installed Tasker yesterday (and haven't used it yet), but I know we have members who use it and can probably help.

Now that we know you're using Tasker, and what you want to accomplish with it, someone should be able to help get you there.
