Help Tasker not activating tasks in 8.1 (Pixel XL)

In Nougat I had no issues with my profile that would silence all volume levels when my phone connected to a specific network.

After updating to 8.1 Tasker no longer activates the task unless I have Tasker open while connecting to the network. I tried turning of the "Run in Foreground" option but the behavior remains the same.

Any ideas?
 
Try turning off Run in Foreground (it needs to be off), shut down Tasker, and reboot the system.

Turning off the option and reloading Tasker is probably all that is needed.

Let us know what happens.

Turned it off and rebooted. No luck, it still only activates the profile when I'm in Tasker and toggling the network connection. However, now after closing the app the volume levels revert to their pre-task settings.
 
I have reread your original message and am confused.

Can you post the Profile/Task you are trying to use so we can see what it is you are doing?

Long press on the profile name until it is selected
Tap three dots
Tap Export
Tap Description to Clipboard
Paste it into a message in this thread

Enter: Silence (3)
A1: Alarm Volume [ Level:0 Display:Off Sound:Off ]
A2: Media Volume [ Level:0 Display:Off Sound:Off ]
A3: Ringer Volume [ Level:0 Display:Off Sound:Off ]
 
I can't think of another Tasker parameter that could cause it.

Perhaps you have changed the Scan Time to bee tooo short?

Perhaps you have another profile that is resetting the volumes immediately after you set them?

Perhaps your dew device has a configuration problem like a misspelled name?

(I would use WiFi Near instead of WiFi Connected and start the task with a 1 min Wait.)
