tasker profile to forward SMS

Anyone that is using tasker. First off, love this application, def my fave so far. I am looking for some help to forward text messages (SMS) to my IM account so that I can get them and respond on my computer when I am at work (8-5) - Is there a way I can send them over to google talk or using an IM client (Meebo) and use that to respond?? Maybe use google voice to transfer them over?

Wondering if anyone had done anything like that with tasker.

BTW, I'm a big fan of Tasker as well!

I imagine Tasker could relay the received SMS messages out using the Tasker's SMS variables (%SMSRF / %SMSRB / %SMSRD / %SMSRT) to construct an outgoing text message to a Google Voice account or using your carrier's SMS2Email feature. But, your Tasker SMS receive routine would have to be setup to receive your reply and construct the SMS back to the original recipient. That wouldn't be easy because you would have to format your response message in a specific way like {to:1234567890} in the body for example so that your Tasker routine could parse your response and send it out to the specific contact you are conversing with I guess.

So, I'd just use the GMail Labs feature for 'Text Messaging (SMS) in Chat'!

Open GMail using your favorite web browser on your desktop and go to the GMail Labs and enable the 'Text Messaging (SMS) in Chat' feature. Then you can SMS chat right from Google Talk.

Thanks for the response. I was actually hoping to some how get the sms inside of Digsby (because I use gTalk through that) but I know google doesn't support sending SMS through other applications.

I guess there is just no easy way of doing what I wanted. But really loving tasker!
