Tasker question

I am trying to use Tasker to silence my emails at night but I am having no luck. I still want to hear texts and phone calls. Can anyone shed some light on how or even if Tasker can do this?

Tasker can't change the notification behavior of individual apps. Usually what people do to accomplish this in Tasker is to silence ALL notifications using Tasker, and then use Tasker to produce an audible notification when SMS messages arrive.
