Tasker to Shutdown Computer

Welcome to Android Forums.
What do you mean by "shut down my computer"? What computer is it? Do you mean "power down"? Do you have an application currently running on that computer that does what you want?
If you are talking about having a phone send a command to a Windows (7? 8? 10?) computer and powering it down ... I am really curious as to (1) why you would want to open it to that potential security hole and (2) why would you want to do it? Why wouldn't you just control the computer from an application that is running on the computer and is not accessible from the outside?

Indeed, EventGhost is the (only?) way to go, coupled with AutoRemote. Look at this tutorial: http://joaoapps.com/autoremote/eventghost/
