My 4.4 has a app called Tasks. When I go to add a task it says, "Tasks will be saved to your phone. If you want to sync them with an online account, add the account to your phone." I choose Add account option. The screen has Microsoft Exchange at the very top. It asks for my email address and password. I provide both. It now gives me 2 options "Auto" and "Next".
Selecting "Auto" gives me, "Checking Auto setup information..." then, "Cannot connect to server. Try again after checking network connection and entered information."
"Next" asks for the server address with is defaulted to "m.google.com", the domain which defaults to "Domain". I then have to select next again and it comes back with, "Unable to open connection to server due to security error."
I'm beginning to wonder if this will sync with Google tasks or because the first screen had Microsoft Exchange at the very top it might just work with exchange. But this strikes me as funny as Android is Google and surely they would build in apps to support their own products. In fact I can't see them giving me a app by default that support their competition--Microsoft.
Furthermore it seems there are many apps called simply Tasks. This app I have came on my Android. It does not show in the list of downloaded apps and I assume can't be removed from the phone thus I figure it must be a default app on this version of Android.
Any ideas?
I know there are other apps--I want to know if this one will work.
