taxes on smartphone

hey guys,
my name is Dan im from israel and we now try to compare our taxes in israel on digital products (37%) from the internet to other places in the world.
so i would like you write how much you will pay for smartphone that you bought from the net and he cost 100$ ?

Here in the UK prices are quoted inclusive of taxes (they must be by law), so most people will never see the price without tax. However, the tax rate is the same 20% VAT as on most goods here, and the same for Internet sales as in physical shops.

Thank you Hardon,
Here we pay 18% VAT and for digital goods from the net we need to pay more 19% tax.

in the USA, it is a mixed bag. Depends on how big the vendor is "sometimes".
Some vendors do an automatic tax addon for your state. Most don't.

for the most part though, we are using the "honor system" at tax time when we fill out our Income Tax reports....
there is now a question that asks how much you purchased on the internet.

well, most of us don't bother tracking that kind of thing, and have no way of going back and capturing that kind of data, so it just gets marked as 'zero'... one of these days though, PayPal is going to be forced to report to the IRS on commercial sales. and that will plug the loop hole over here for a lot of purchases.
