Idea: An application that allows you to enter rate per mile and then you can click go. It will display the red led price and you can mount the phone and it will simulate a taxi cab fare meter! Uses GPS to calculate movement and distance.

it would be highly inaccurate. Why not just buy a regular meter. What happens if you get a phone call? etc etc.

GPS Inaccurate? Odd, I find it strangely accurate for distance driven use... :)


Also a regular meter requires being integrated into your speedometer, which requires tearing apart your gauge cluster and permanently mounting on your dash. If you get a phone call.... uh.. you answer it. It's not like you'd be relying on this as a cab driver, it's a gimmick app, and a cool idea at that. Put it on your dash and remind your friends how much they're saving by getting a ride with you :)
