Help Teathering to a Apple mini

iram

Android Enthusiast
I was given a ipod mini tablet
Wonder if theres a way to tether it to J7 by usb or whatever to run internet and such using boost service.

AFAIK iPad Mini doesn't support USB tethering, not even with an iPhone, you'll have to use WiFi tethering with the J7, i.e. the phone's WiFi hotspot feature.

Personally I dont care for Apple but cant look a gift horse in a mouth (I think thats the phrase)
I see usb wont work even if possible since I would need a cable with mini usb side for J7 and apple usb for other.

I wonder about BlueTooth?
Have PDA Net app on J7 if ipad has blue tooth wonder if that may work
Idont have hot spot with my plan

The Samsung J7 supports tethering via

- usb
- Bluetooth
- WiFi

This worked for my laptop, other Pads. On BT even with more than one Pad.
All three methods work. I cannot tell about apple.

well apparently ipad has blue tooth and phone appears to connect to ipad but trying to use PDA Net it was giving error statement and reccommending to jailbeak ipad and install a particluar app.....

Usually yes, but the OP is with Boost Mobile and apparently doesn't have a tethering plan, which you have to pay an extra fee for, and therefore the tethering features are locked out in the device, including Bluetooth and USB tethering. That's how it usually works I believe.

Could try an app called FoxFi, which is supposed to enable WiFi hotspot tethering on restricted devices.

That's often been discussed here on AF.

As for jailbreaking an iOS device, this is Android Forums, :) and so I don't know much about that at all. The "particular app" could be something very nasty and malicious for all we know.
