Tegra 2 the 10 core chip!

The tegra 2 may be referred to as a "dual" core chip but this thing actually has ten processor cores!

There are two A9 CPUs and an eight core GPU integrated on the chip...a total of 10 processor cores.

I've been playing with my Viewsonic g Tablet running a custom rom from xda developers and this thing flies! Faster than my quad core desktop for many functions.

Now I find myself hungrily waiting for a tegra 2 phone to compliment my tablet.

Hm, I get the feeling that if it truly runs faster then your PC, then the computer probably has some things that need to be fixed, but thats just me.

...faster for many functions, which is not much of a surprise to me since my PC does not have a ssd or system on a chip graphics like the tablet. Plus, no windows bloat with android.

One simple example is faster boot up. A more interesting example is smoother zoom in of satellite imagery.

You have to take into consideration that like you said, it's running less in terms of programs, the applications are stripped down versions to make them run faster on devices like that, and many other things. Bottom line is, you cannot legitimately compare a PC to a tablet. The differences are far too great.

But you can compare if you are seeking the same results such as web surfing or manipulating a large high Res image.

Even so, the applications used for both of those tasks are considerably different, if you could run a mobile application on your computer then it would run incredibly fast, and if you ran a PC application on your tablet it would run slow.

Of course like the average computer user I wouldn't be surprised if your computer was weighed down with countless amounts of applications and probably even a few viruses. (No offense)
