Help Telus Mobility Root Question

A friend of mine has convinced me that rooting my phone (Galaxy S3) would be well worth the effort. However, I can't find information regarding how to root the phone. I'm with Telus mobility (Canada). If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be appreciative.

Firstly, goto settings > about device and look at the model number.

If it matches one on this page, you should be good to go.

I had been on that site earlier. However the download link goes to a page that won't load. I'm new to this sort of thing and wondered if the page was no longer relevant. Since you referenced it perhaps they are just having trouble and it will be fixed in the near future. Do you know of another place to get the needed file from?

I was able o download the file to the phone. I'll give the "rooting" a try in the morning. It's getting late here. Thanks again for your help!

I downloaded the needed files. However, I can't copy/paste the other folder into the phone. I have installed Kies, but I'm having trouble installing the USB drivers. Any suggestions?
