Temperature sensor?

I have an HTC EVO. Today I accidentally left it in my car for about 2 hours in the blistering Florida heat. The phone was fine but I wanted to know if it had a temperature sensor. And if so, how do I find out the internal temperature of the phone?


And what is the temperature threshold before it damages?

The processor has a sensor, as well as the battery. If any of them get too hot, the phone will shut off.

Battery temp can be found by using an app like Spare Parts. I dont know if you can see the processor temp without being rooted.

And FYI, dont leave your phone in the car. Its VERY bad for the battery.
