Terror attack near the houses of Parliament

Shit that's terrible. Just watching the live BBC coverage. Apparently policeman has been stabbed. Suspect shot by armed police.

Yeah, horrible.

I'm just listening to LBC, apparently the car mounted the pavement, started mowing people down and when the car became too damaged to carry on, the assailant got out and started stabbing people.

The attacker is dead, their identity has not been released yet, and if they've any sense they'll find out as much as they can before they say anything.

Thankfully the press have been sensible so far, rather than printing speculations or rumours about the attacker or their motivations.

Yes I think there were some very severe injuries caused by that car.
It's almost impossible to prevent this kind of attack isn't it?

Some of the photos of the survivors and the way they were laying is terrifying.

I don't want to get on my high horse, but posting graphic pictures of the victims in the way Reuters and many other news outlets did, before families etc were notified is pretty immoral. Especially when the emergency services had explicitly asked them not to.

Reuters are rightfully getting a roasting for it on social media.

I think so, it doesn't really take much planning and carrying a driving license or owing a knife isn't illegal so someone could decide to do this at any time if they wanted. :(

The really bizarre thing about this is that I've been into central London a couple of times since the attack and far from there being any sense of shock, fear or trepidation, nobody's even bothered to mention it ..

Wow this is a terrible story :-(

Sorry to hear this I feel for all those involved it's horrifying.

My prayers are with all who were harmed... may God bless their poor souls and may they rest in peace.

It's old news Stinky. But unfortunately this is a continuing mode of attack for terrorists and I don't think we've seen the last of it.
