Help Tesco Mobile Ireland APN settings?

Hi there.

I'm looking for the APN and MMS settings for Tesco Ireland, as they don't seem to support the OSF/ZTE Blade with their phone settings tool, see below.

Mobile OTA Service

Also, do they actually support 3G? I know they sell 3G Sims, but they seem not to support high-speed 3G browsing.

Our Other Great Mobile Phone Services :: Tesco Mobile Ireland

WAP Internet Service
With the Tesco Mobile Internet service on your mobile, you can experience the internet through your mobile phone. All you need is a 'WAP' compatible phone - check your phone's user manual to see if yours will work with the service.

My Tesco Mobile internet, is Tesco Mobile's own internet site on your mobile phone. We've brought together some of the best mobile sites available - so you can enjoy music, games, sport, entertainment and much more while you're on the go.

To access My Tesco Mobile internet, just click on the Tesco Mobile icon on your phone, or find it through the World Wide Web service on your phone's menu. Or if its easier, you can just text the word HOME to 51065 and we'll send you a link.

Note: Our Mobile Internet service is provided through the WAP/GPRS network service and is not a high speed broadband service.

TIA for all and any help :)

Thanx shadowninty :)

I have been talking to Paul, the Tesco Rep on Boards, and have resolved the MMS problem, see below:

Hi Paul,

Finally resolved this MMS problem on the OSF/ZTE Blade...........

It is all in the APN settings, you need two.....one Default, and a seperate MMS.

This is what I did, and it has worked.....

perhaps you could review the settings below, and let me know if there is anything else, but I found these work for MMS. (Some of this info was compiled in co-operation with UK giffgaff users forum)

Can you let me know what is the situation regarding 3G SIM's, which seem to be available now.

Do we now get 3G speeds when available, will I need a new SIM? Mine is already a year old??

MMS APN as follows:

Name: tesco mms

In Settings/Wireless & networks/Mobile networks

Make sure: Date Enabled and Data Roaming both checked(enabled).....

Tesco Roams on the O2 network, (no extra cost)....

When you send an MMS message, you will see the Edge symbol (E) in the notification area.
