Tethering addon: pro-rated before monthly bill due?

Just wondering... If I add the $5 per month tethering fee right now to my $50 LTE unlimited plan -- and my bill isn't due until Feb 8th -- will I still be charged $5 or will the fee be reduced?

Silly me. Went to add the service via the website and saw this in the add dialog:

Services are not prorated, which means we will not divide the cost of the service to charge you a daily rate.

For $5 I wouldn't worry about it if you want to tether for the next 10 days. Compare that to Virgin Mobile - they charge $5 per day.
