Tethering an Android Phone to a Xoom

I just got the HTC Merge and was wondering if it is possible to tether the Merge to my Motorola Xoom...and if so, where do I find a mini usb to mini usb cable to connect them??

How? I don't see it under settings...is there an App I have to add or am I missing something??

Most likely the tethering option has been removed by your carrier in order for you to subscribe to their data tethering plan and use their app to access the feature. You can either pay your carrier or violate your user agreement, root your phone and install and app that bypasses the restriction, running the risk of being detected and ultimately paying for the tethering plan anyway.

When I plug my phone in to my Windows laptop, it gives me a choice of tethering by USB but I haven't tried it as my laptop has wireless. I suppose I could disable the wireless and see if it works with the tethering. I have searched their (CSpire) website and don't see any plans offering tethering.
