Hello and welcome to the forums, amandad.

There are apps available in Android Market which help facilitate tethering. You have a choice as to what type of tethering: wifi (wireless) or via USB cable.

USB cable tethering is a bit simpler. You'll need the driver for your device installed on the computer, and you'll need to turn on tethering in your device via the networking menu.

A data plan with your carrier which includes tethering keeps everything within carrier/user Terms of Service.
