I have successfully tethered my HTC Hero to my laptop using Easy Tether (PdaNet won't work for me). This is a USB connection as Easy Tether does not support bluetooth. Works great.
Here's what I wonder. Can this tethered connection be shared with others? I have read several articles about using a laptop as a wi-fi hotspot, and I wonder if this would work if the laptop is connected by tether to the phone?
Does anyone know of an application that would allow a shared connection once the laptop is tethered to the phone? This would be very useful in a hotel room with multiple laptops. I DO NOT want to root my phone.
I would welcome any ideas.
