Text conversations

Hello, my question is:

How do I send a new text message to a contact without the old text from a previous conversation with the same contact being inserted into the new text message?

Thank you in advanced.

Hi Mikestony,
Haha... your suggestion is nice and easy. I was expecting something more complicated that would be in Settings. I checked before posting but didn't find any such thing.
Thank you

Just thought of something... What if I want to keep the original text message and start a completely new conversation to that contact?

Don't think so. The "conversation" is just a list of all messages exchanged between the two of you, and different message apps all view the same message database.

There used to be one or two message apps which let you view messages in the old pre-smartphone style (all incoming messages lumped together irrespective of sender), but few people wanted that.

You can add a "subject" to an SMS message. I don't know whether that would affect how a "conversation" was displayed, but it's the only other thing I can think of.
