Text display crash

Hi,

I don't know what has changed recently, but whenever I try to open pure text display in an app, this app stops immediatgely.

My phone is a Nokia 1 running on Android 8 Go.

The apps where I currentluy notice this are

K9 e-mail
Denkzettel memo management
X-plore file manager with file viewer

There may be others, but it seems that this has nothing to do with these particular apps but with the Android system itself.

Can anyone advise how to fix this, please?

The problem you're describing may be hard to solve. As you've said, it's not limited to one specific app, so troubleshooting is more difficult.

Did anything change around the time this problem started? Something like installing a new app, or getting a system update?

Have you tried restarting the phone?

I tried restarting the phone, but it didn't help. No new apps installed, but I have auto update on. It must have happened during one of those.

This phone has not seen any Android updates for a while, although everyone was hoping to get Android 9.
