Text message problem on Huawei Y7

Hi

Please bear with me as I'm new to smart phones!

I have a Huawei Y7 2018 phone and have just done the latest Andriod system update.

I'm trying to create a text message but the cursor is stuck in the "Sent from my Huawei Y7" signature box. No matter what I do anything I type just gets added to my signature. I just cannot move the cursor into the message area.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

OK, sorry .... I think I have managed to resolve this. To be fair to me I think the user manual could have been a little more explicit!!
