Text message size

I received my note 9 weeks ago and love it.
However, I am having a problem with text message size. If my text message is to large it will not send. I did not have this problem with my last phone. Is there a setting that I need to change or what can I do?
 
What’s your carrier? You could have career related issues.

Can you RECEIVE these “long” messages? What do you classify as “long”? :thinking:

Are yo using the stock messenger? If so, try a different messenger such as textra.

Does this issue with sending large texts happen no matter what carrier you are messaging?

Are you sending large files (photo? Gif?) or just a lengthy long text?

What was your “last phone”? I send sometimes a photo or two and am a part of large group chats via text and usually have no issues with the message going through nor am I having issues receiving.

Could also be a temporary issue with you carrier. Have you reaxched out to them?
 
Do you have mobile data enabled? Some long SMS messages (exceeding the 160 char limit) will be broken into multiple texts and reassembled at the other end, but some get converted to MMS which require mobile data.
