What kind of text message usually looks like machine code?
The type where you want to download a picture and what you get is alphabet soup?
Is that usually a sign of error, phishing, or malicious code?
Asking since I got 4 calls from a "political survey" outfit in NC. I didn't answer the calls, just looked up the number. I don't have voice mail. These jerks called 4 times in a row, then I got 2 texts full of gibberish which I blacklisted and deleted. I'm wondering if spammers are starting to retaliate. I've read where those who tell spammers not to call, get a threatening call in return.
The same outfit seems to have called from other area codes according to 800 Notes.
To reiterate - I have ringtones for friends, businesses, and a few misc. in the phone book. The general ring on the phone is a mid of Cocaine.
If I hear Cocaine - I don't answer, but look up the phone number. I don't answer texts, either.
