Text messages copied in email

I just got my AT&T G2 a few days ago and I have noticed that when I receive a text message, I also receive an email with the same message. I am using the stock messaging app. Does anyone know how to turn this off so I don't get the annoying emails anymore? I can't seem to find a setting for this.

Sounds like someone is emailing to both your email and your text equivalent.

Thank you for sending the link but unfortunately my problem is a little different. Whenever someone sends me a text, I receive the text as I should but I also receive a duplicate email with the same message.

This happens with every text? From every sender? Very unusual.

Ya, it's really weird and annoying. I may just start using Hangouts instead and turn off the stock messaging app.

Are one or more of your email accounts using MS Exchange (hotmail/outlook.com/msn/live)? There may be a "Sync SMS" setting that is enabled.

Klotar, this is exactly what happened. I had sync sms checked in my Exchange account settings. When I unchecked it the emails stopped. Thank you so much for the tip! This is exactly why I love these forums. All you guys rock!!
