text messaging issue

Not sure if anyone else has had this happen. I use yahoo alerts to remind me of specific things to do (take medication, etc). These go to my text messaging program, GoSMS (I don't use the android built in one unless I have to). I have an alert I get every morning at 8am. On august 6th the alert notification happened but the text didnt show up. now the text is stuck somewhere and I am alerted of this text (that I cannot load or delete) every time i get a new text message. Let's say I get 7 text messages in an hour. I will also get 7 alerts of this "stuck" text and it's really getting annoying. I wrote to the GoSMS people but they never responded. I also tried blocking the text and deleting the alert via yahoo but the issue is definitely in the phone. PLEASE HELP!!!

Might I suggest going to the GoSMS app and clearing the cache, closing the app and rebooting you phone.

Go into manage apps, then click GoSMS, then click clear cache. then reboot.

If it doesn't work, you may need to completely clear the app data. This may require you to reset the application data.
 
Are you sure you have notifications disabled in the stock messaging app? When I was using GoSMS I couldn't use custom notification tones through it or my sound would stop working. So I had to leave notifications on through messaging, it wasn't a problem unless I got an MMS and then I got a notification through both Messaging and GoSMS.
