yea download Handcent from the market its a better SMS app than the stock app. U can put personal SMS ringtones for each of ur contacts. After u've downloaded Handcent, compose a new SMS for the person who u want to personalize a ringtone. Then click on the Handcent Options at the top right and u can then personalize it from there. Hope this helps.
