i recently purchased an LG Eve running on 1.5 and have loved it so far. yesterday though, i received a text message just like any other time but when i tried to delete it, it would not remove the notification from the status bar. no matter what i do it is still there, even when i go to my messaging app and it says it is not there. it is really starting to bug me, since it is just always saying i have a new text message now. any ideas as to how i can get rid of it? thanks.

text notification won't delete?

The only time I have seen this is when I installed Handcent SMS. I forgot to turn off the notifications in the stock Messenging app. So even though I deleted the text from Handcent, it still showed a notification because the text also went to the stock app. Not sure if that is your issue, but just thought I would throw it out there

I had the same issue when I used SMS popup. Have you installed a new SMS app. If you have I am certain this is the issue.
If you have you can either turn off notifications in the standard messaging app or instead of deleting in the new app, go to the old one and delete it there first.
