Text pictures not downloading

Samsung Galaxy S3 with 4.0.4 os.

I can't send or receive pictures in Messenger.

When sending, it just spins and spins (small file).

When pic comes in and I hit download, it says Downloading and never does.

I've read all about the same problem on another phone here.

None of that worked for me.

My girlfriend has the same issue with a different provider (ATT I think).

I'm on the H2O network (ATT backbone), btw.

The solution that worked for me is:

Settings>Connections>More Networks>Mobile Netoworks>Access Point Names>ATT Phone>APN type (mine was blank, I typed in the word 'default' in all lower case, backed out, and it worked!!
