Help Text receive confirmation

My buddy just got a new Samsung S5. When he sends me a text I get a Confirm Read Report box with a yes/no to confirm I received it.

Doesn't matter what I answer he gets nothing back and I get the text.

Any ideas how to turn it off?

I guess if he didn't request a delivery or read receipt you wouldn't get the question, so you could ask him to stop requesting receipts.

I've never seen such a box though. What phone do you have, what software version, what message app are you using and have you installed any other security or privacy related apps? If there's a way of turning this off at your end we'll need to know what is on your phone that is asking for confirmation, because that is not a standard feature. You could however just look through the settings of your message app to see whether there is anything in there which controls this - that would be the first place I'd check.
