text ringtone

how do i set a ringtone for my standard text sound? i would also like to have another email sound...is that possible? my phone just got re-booted so I lost everything :*(

As far as selecting a song as a text alert, download Tone Picker from the market and this allows you to use your own tunes as the alert.
